In-home care as special and unique as your loved ones
Who needs home care?
A: Home care is care that allows a person with special needs to stay in their home. It might be for people who are getting older (aging in place). It could also be for people who are chronically ill, recovering from surgery, or have a disability.
My loved one only needs help now and then. Can we get occasional help?
The great thing about homecare is that we can personalize it to suit your exact needs. If you only need assistance around the house once or twice a week, we can help. If your loved one needs transportation to doctors’ appointments, we can do that too. Sheltering Arms Home Care is here to fill in the gaps that keep your senior relatives from leading an independent life.
How fast will I receive the home care service?
Generally, services can be provided within a 48-hr period and often the same day. Call our office and we will arrange to conduct a no-obligation assessment. At your direction, we will identify caregivers who have the skills, personality, and availability to assist you. You will then be able to meet the caregiver and, if you approve, they will begin working for and with you.
Do you have an RN to conduct an initial assessment before starting each engagement and to follow up with supervisory visits to ensure the plan of care is being carried out to my satisfaction?
Yes. The initial assessment visit is required to determine the patient’s immediate care and support needs.
Are all employees drug tested, background checked, and insured?
Yes. We vow to maintain the safety and security of every client we come in contact with. Every employee will undergo a thorough screening.
What times do you offer services?
We are a 24/7 service provider! That means that whenever you or a loved one needs assistance with personal care, home making services or any other tasks around the house, we can be there. Our around the clock assistance can make senior living easier and provide peace of mind to loved ones.
